Your Life, Your Choice

Helping you to participate and build connections in your community

We assist our clients to participate actively in community, social and civic activities by developing and enhancing the client’s skills and providing supports during these activities.

Staying active and engaged within a community helps preserve important relationships, skills, and a sense of belonging. Feeling connected to family, friends, community, and culture can reduce anxiety and isolation while providing a strong support system.

Our team will collaborate with you and your support networks to find activities that match your skills, interests, and goals, ensuring you can fully participate and enjoy these activities.

Some of our social and community services include:

  • Helping you discover activities that match your interests
  • Organizing and planning your participation in activities
  • Accompanying you to various events, such as community gatherings, forums, shows, hobbies, or recreational activities
  • Helping you attend cultural and religious meetings or gatherings

We offer a person-centred approach to our NDIS clients. Our driving philosophy is to further the independence of our clients through initiatives such as...

What people say about us...

I would highly recommend Fairhands Care Services to anyone looking for a very good disability service provider! My support coordinator friend had a recent interaction with, I think, their manager Philip and some other staff/workers. They said that Philip has a lot of understanding and the staff were lovely to deal with. I hope other service providers learn from Fairhands Care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

ClientClient

We are very happy with Fairhands services. We can talk to Roger (support worker) about anything and he is the best cleaner that we have ever had. He is the only support worker we've had that doesn't cause us any anxiety.

I was initially nervous about beginning the services for my son. But since FHC began, my confidence has grown because I've seen the dedication of the Support Workers looking after my son.

FAQ

How do I choose my own support workers? When we first discuss what supports you require, our team will show you through 'staff profiles' of our available support workers. This will help you to get an understanding of who they are and their interests. During this time, please request any other information you'd like to know. We're dedicated to ensuring you are comfortable with the people who will be supporting you.

Can I request to change my support workers? At any point in time, you may discuss with our Client Liaison (Phil) about changing your support workers.

How can I give feedback about my supports? And what will happen if I do this?We take all feedback seriously, and encourage you to let us know if there's anything we could do to better support you. You can provide feedback to anyone on the Fairhands team, including Phil (Client Liaison). Your feedback will go to our internal Client Advocacy Committee, where we will make changes to better support you and the rest of our clients. We will share this information in a way that protects your professional relationship with our staff, with your safety and confidence as our top priority.

How do I know I can trust your support workers? What training do they have? All of our support workers receive NGO certified training, aligned with providing NDIS support services. All staff are also thoroughly screened through background checks and reference checks.

Will my support workers help me with anything I ask?As long as the task can be completed safely and within the time allocated for your support services, your staff member will be happy to assist.

All of your regular support tasks will be discussed and agreed upon during the onboarding process. If you have other regular tasks that need to be included, please contact us to discuss.
